At PlayWrite, Inc., ‘youth at the edge’ craft original plays that become powerful vehicles through which their voices are heard. Their old website didn’t communicate the good work they do, and it contained little evidence of the artistic output of the participants. Blue Mouse Monkey’s overhaul of the website includes a new look and feel, expanded and organized content, and a complete archive of all plays and songs, with image and video support.

The Tobacco Free Coalition of Oregon (TOFCO) is revitalizing anti-tobacco advocacy in Oregon through a grassroots movement and outreach to communities most impacted by the harmful effects of tobacco use.The site acts like a virtual staff member, providing relevant information to community advocates and decision makers, building the tobacco-free movement support base, increasing organizational efficiency, and elevating TOFCO’s presence in the community.

SMCF's old website confused grant applicants, and Fund staff struggled with poorly constructed grant applications. Additionally, the Grand Ronde Tribe’s achievements and leadership in social change in Oregon were obscured. Blue Mouse Monkey tackled these problems with a complete reorganization and rewriting of content, total visual redesign, and a new easy-to-use CMS.

Created for Storyteller Eames Demetrios, this site is the leading online resource for Kcymaerxthaere (pronounced Ky-Marex-Theere) a global work of 3-dimensional fiction about an alternative universe largely consistent with our linear world. Complex and multi-dimensional, this site has membership functions, interfaces with Flickr on the fly, and is fully editable by the project administrators.

Austin Granger is a photographer and writer who has produced three books, and wanted us to create online versions of each of them. The challenge was to reproduce the books in web form in a way that preserved as much of the flavor of “book”, with its concomitant hierarchies of information, while maintaining good digital user interface and information design. The resulting triple-website presents nearly 400 photographs, along with Austin’s 9-chapter essay on Point Reyes.
Scott Sparling is a Portland writer and author of the forthcoming novel Wire to Wire (Tin House, June 2011). Scott came to Blue Mouse Monkey for an exceptional and innovative design solution to showcase his edgy novel. Combining large-scale imagery with content that pulls you into the world of the book, this author website transcends the genre.
