Getting a website made (or re-made) is a big decision. It’s important that you feel comfortable with the process from start to finish. If you have questions that aren’t answered here or elsewhere on the site, don’t hesitate to contact us to learn more.

We work with clients who want something different, want to stand out, and want to raise the bar in their field.

We collaborate closely with our clients in a rich visual and verbal dialogue that pinpoints the essence of what they do and what their goals are, then we take that vision further than they imagined.

What can we expect when working with you?

Whether working with individuals or organizations, we aim to make the creation of each website an enjoyable, collaborative process. We won’t overwhelm you with geek-speak or force your website dreams into some pre-packaged set of arbitrary constraints. You retain control of how your project or organization is presented to the world, and at all times we prioritize the connection between your mission and your audiences.

We guide you through the initial consultation, then planning, design iterations, focus group (optional), training in site maintenance, and preparing for the final launch. We make sure you’re informed and feel comfortable about each decision along the way, and if you have questions or concerns afterwards, we’re always here to help.

Can we update our own website?

We aim to empower our clients to be independent of us. We set up each website with a CMS (Content Management System) that enables you to easily edit the content from anywhere with an Internet connection. CMSs we use include Oregon-made Expression Engine, WordPress, and a CMS for art portfolios by Acts of Good.

Do you do brand therapy or strategic development work?

The individualized, in-depth and collaborative nature of our planning, branding, and design process is enables a parallel process of self-discovery for many of our clients. They feel inspired to see their work in new ways, and they gain new clarity about their mission, goals, and brand. This consistently results in the growth or maturation of our clients’ projects and organizations. We’ll take your project and turn it into something more then you imagine. Consider it added value :-)

Can you set us up with a social media strategy?

Absolutely. And we won’t impose a cookie-cutter approach during the process, either. The sustained involvement of individuals is the key to a vibrant social media presence. We’ll analyze your capacity for social media maintenance, and implement a strategy that matches that capacity.

Do you ever use templates?

Each Blue Mouse Monkey project is custom designed based on your needs, audiences, goals, and vision. Everything we do is unique and made from scratch.

What are your rates?

We are happy to set up a no-obligation, one-hour consultation to discuss your project, after which we can give you an estimate of the cost. We also welcome RFPs.

Will our website look good on all computers?

We’ll make sure your website looks good in any contemporary browser whether viewed on a Mac or PC. We can also optimize a site for mobile devices.

What is your turnaround time?

Blue Mouse Monkey is always booked ahead, so contact us sooner rather than later. Also, the iterative nature of our custom design process requires time for us to develop ideas and solutions in collaboration with you. We don’t use templates and we don’t take short cuts. We’ll timetable the project precisely and work efficiently to ensure your site is launched when you expect it to be.

We already have the designs done for our site. Can you code it out for us?

We do not offer programming services for designs created by other providers.
